Information Symbola collects

Symbola uses Firebase Analytics to understand whether core product flows work. It may collect a randomly generated app-instance identifier, app and operating-system version, device category, and product interactions such as screens viewed, whether a search, import, or export flow succeeded, and aggregate result or artifact counts. These events do not contain search terms, symbol names, filenames, document contents, SVG data, or drawings.

Symbola also uses Firebase Remote Config to retrieve app configuration. Firebase may process the app-instance identifier and basic app or device information to provide that service. This information is used for app functionality and analytics, is not linked by us to your identity, and is not used for tracking across apps or websites.

Information that stays on your device

Symbol documents, vector paths, imported SVG files, reference images, rough search sketches, export files, appearance preferences, and editing history are processed locally. Shape similarity search runs against an on-device index. Jeje Labs and Firebase do not receive this content through Symbola.

Purchases

Symbola is free and has no in-app purchases or subscriptions. The app does not process payments and does not collect payment information.

Support messages

If you email us, we receive the address and information you choose to include. We use it only to answer the request, investigate the issue, and maintain an appropriate support record. Do not attach a private document unless it is necessary for the request.

Sharing, tracking, and advertising

Symbola has no advertising SDK, does not access the advertising identifier, and does not sell personal information. We do not use collected information for third-party advertising or cross-app tracking. Service providers such as Google process limited information on our behalf to operate Firebase Analytics and Remote Config.

Retention and your choices

Analytics information is retained according to the retention controls configured for our Firebase project and is then deleted or aggregated. You can remove local Symbola data by deleting documents, using the app's reset controls, or deleting the app. To ask about analytics or support information, request access or deletion, or raise a privacy concern, contact us at help@jejelabs.com.

Children and changes

Symbola is a general-purpose developer and design tool and is not directed to children. We may update this policy when the app or its service providers change. The current version and effective date will always be published on this page.
